To appreciate how patronage system at border points fuel Illicit relationships, one deeds to  analyze the dominance of a single Community in Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Outerports operations, and the shifting of Illicit trade from the western part of  Kenya to the lake basin region.

With traffickers from Eastern Uganda shifting 'contraband smuggling' to the lake basin.

Notably, the dorminant Ethnicity and players in illicit trade are individuals from Western and Rift valley, working with pockets of local gangs (China squad).

It is this criminal grouping that has been frustrating the  revitilization of Kisumu port,  and the opening up of legitimate trade in the basin.

An MCA allied to DP William Ruto on Sunday, October 20, found himself on the wrong side after he tried to start a fight at a Mashujaa Day celebrations event.

David Kipkorir Kaboloman, who is the MCA of Saboti ward allegedly engaged in a verbal attack against Saboti MP Caleb Amisi during the Mashujaa day celebrations at Trans Nzoia County.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Amisi stated that he unexpectedly showed up at the event where the MCA was not expecting him to attend and heard Kaboloman bashing the development projects in the area while criticising the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
